MRA Community Survey 2017 was part of our campaign to engage more with our community and ensure that the issues we are dealing with truly reflect community needs and help us shape our strategic direction. There were 147 respondents, which is over 60 % of the registered on line members or 11 % of the 1300 homes in our area. It gave us a strong platform for our 2018 activities and the development of a comprehensive 5 year strategic plan.

- The change of Name to 5049 Coastal Community had the approval of the majority of respondents
- The incorporation of Seacliff into the Association had strong support
- The 4 most important issues that the community would like the association to focus on are:
- Cement Hill Redevelopment
- Completion of the Kingston Park foreshore master plan
- Boral and Linwood Quarry
- Permanent Kingston Park Kiosk/Café
- The majority of respondents were keen to participate in meetings/workshops to help develop a 5 year strategic plan
- Email and the 5049 Communicator newsletter were the preferred method of finding out about events and activities.
- The website and the inclusion of other community groups had strong support
- Support for future forums:
- Kingston Park Foreshore development
- Kingston park Kiosk/Café
- Increased housing density
