Locals in Marino celebrated 2019 Neighbour Day on Sunday 31 March at O'Connell Reserve. Over 25 people attended.
There was a recent legal challenge on the original approval for the coast path by a senior Kaurna Elder which prevented any further works on the the master plan over the last 5-6 months.

What a great turn out for the “Meet the Candidates” event on Wednesday 3rd October. A huge thank you to all those that came along (80 + people), including Mayoral candidates for Holdfast Bay and Marion, Ward Councillor candidates from Seacliff Ward (Holdfast Bay) and Coastal Ward (Marion) and loads of 5049 community members.
Sunday 23 September
The Kids Toy Market on the 23rd of September was a spectacular success. There were 32 tables set up in the hall with a myriad of toys, puzzles, and books for sale by young people .Over 200 customers came through the door and most walked out with a bargain.

This one provided the 5049 Coastal Community residents with the opportunity to hear from, both official and unofficial experts on local history of Marino, Kingston Park and Seacliff, both pre- and post-European settlement, in a fun and interactive way. Over a 120 people joined us in the upstairs Function Room of the new Kauri Sports and Community Centre, enjoying complimentary drinks and nibbles, the fabulous view over the coastline, and discussing the many historic photos and maps on display for the evening
