6The 5049 Coastal Community has a e-membership of over 600 local residents registered by email along with 2300 households receiving our quarterly newsletter. It is led by a steering committee of dedicated volunteers and a series of active volunteer task groups.

We do not charge a membership fee, we simply add you to our confidential community email group. We will use this to keep you informed of matters of importance in the area.

From time to time you will receive the following from us:-
- An electronic copy of our quarterly newsletter ‘5049 Communicator.’
- Updates on key issues affecting our community eg the Seacliff Park (Cement Hill) Development site
- Optional notifications re the Linwood quarry at Marino and the day they are blasting. (Some nearby residents are affected by dust and vibration).
- Emails of any activities or events in the area that are relevant to our community
- An occasional ‘call to action’ when we need to rally our community as a show of unity regarding urgent issues from time to time
- Electronic survey on issues in our area
You are always welcome to email us on matters you would like addressed or have included in the newsletter or on our website. If you would like to share relevant information within our community we will email it to our group if fits within our mandate. We always respect email address privacy and will not share your details with anyone unless requested by you.
Please get in touch if you would be willing to assist with any of the following:
- Become a committee member
- Help to write newsletters
- Help to deliver newsletters or other paper communications
- Be a team leader or member for a specific project or campaign Task Group
- Help organise forums
- Manage and update the 5049 website
- Manage and post on the 5049 Facebook page
- Monitor and report on media and council meetings on matter relating to the 5049 community
- Assist with grant applications
- Coordinate membership growth
- Coordinate sponsorship growth
- Provide expert opinions to the Association (please specify)
- Assist with Administration and correspondence
Finally, if at any time you wish to be removed from the 5049 Communicator email group – simply send us an email with the words ‘Remove me’ as the subject line and we will remove you from the Data base.

We have Insurance for our Volunteers both Public Liability and Accident
