The government has announced a number of drop in sessions as part of the consultation process with community and other stakeholders.  The Marion Council is starting a process of community consultation regarding the future of the Marino Community Hall and the adjacent land the council owns.  Proposal to extending the mine to the East will see the quarry operating in our area for another 100+ years.  The overall development design and plans for the Seacliff Park Development (also known as the Lorenzin site or Cement Hill re-development) are a closed shop. However the Association has written to the Developer to develop a productive relationship with them as they will be a significant part of our community for years to come.  There was generally in principle support for the idea behind increased housing diversity but with many reservations.  |
