Sunday 23 September The Kids Toy Market on the 23rd of September was a spectacular success. There were 32 tables set up in the hall with a myriad of toys, puzzles, and books for sale by young people .Over 200 customers came through the door and most walked out with a bargain. The children loved it with some dressing up in their favourite costumes. There was a face painter…Deputy Mayor Janet Byram, ably assisted by Cr Ian Crossland, and visits made by David Speirs MP, Mayor Hanna, Cr Westwood , Candidate Fleur Lerwill, plus Danielle Clarke from Marion Council.
Angela and Chris’s pop up café was amazing with coffees and teas served from 9am with special cakes and biscuits on sale along with rolls and fruit. The place was abuzz and feedback was very positive. Everyone wants more. The chairs and tables for the café were made by the Trott Park Men’s Shed. The Coffee machine and expertise was provided by local business “coffee workshop”, supported by Marion Council. Thanks to all who helped to make the day such a success. Comments are closed.
