We are indeed fortunate to live in such a unique location and want our area to be presented at its best! With what is coming up in the next few years, Kingston Park needs as many local friends as it can get.
The Holdfast Bay Council is also happy to support us in improving and maintaining our reserves, streetscape, verges etc. Together we can unlock more resources and Civic pride. We had a great response recently to our call for volunteers to help with planting along the Coast Path on Burnham Road, Kingston Park on Sunday, 12 August. Many thanks to the 30+ MRA members who gave up their morning to put in over 1000 native plants. With plenty of care these plants will make a wonderful addition to the greening of our community. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the City of Holdfast Bay Council, for providing the plants as part of the Commonwealth Government’s National Tree Planting Program, and for their support on the day. A very positive and tangible example of the Council and our community working together to achieve positive outcomes. The Council will be watering the plants regularly. We will monitor the need for additional watering in summer All we need are interested residents to join our group. So please join us.
