Marino, Seacliff, Seacliff Park and Kingston Park  - 5049
Marino, Seacliff, Seacliff Park and Kingston Park are small coastal suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia within the City of Marion and City of Holdfast Bay.  They share the 5049 postcode.

The Seaford Railway line passes through the suburbs with stations at Seacliff, Marino and Marino Rocks.

Brews & Views Cafe operates from the Marino Community Hall every Monday and Saturday, 9am - 12noon. Feel free to join us and meet the locals.

MARINO ROCKS BEACH


The Marino Rocks beach has a steep cliff face leading to a low, flat rocky beach.  This leads out to a reef, making it a popular fishing and snorkeling spot.  Catch a glimpse of underwater as seen here.

MARION COASTAL WALKING TRAIL

Marino Rocks beach is the starting point of the northern end of the Marion Coastal Walking Trail, a steep boardwalk climb taking in the magnificence of the geologically impressive Hallett Cove Conservation Park and ending at the picturesque mouth of the Field River.

MARINO ROCKS GREENWAY AND COAST to vines rail TRAIL

Marino Rocks train station is the southern end of the 15km Marino Rocks Greenway cycle route which is a popular commuting path following the Seaford line to Adelaide.  The station is also the northern end starting point of the 38km Coast to Vines Rail Trail, a cycling and walking track which follows an old railway corridor south to McLaren Vale and Willunga.

KINGSTON PARK BUSH WALKING TRACKS

Bush walkers can enjoy breathtaking seaviews and our indigenous plants through the Kingston Park Cliff Face Conservation Park and Barton Gully. The Cliff face paths access the John Dowie Tjilbruke Monument, the Foreshore and links with Pine Gully. The  Barton Gully path provides quick access between Marino Rocks Station and the Foreshore Reserve on Burnham Road.

The Marino Conservation Park  has views across Adelaide and the coastline and includes a steep west-facing hillside area containing a remnant area of coastal heath vegetation. The park aims to protect flora such as the ground cover Desert Saw Sedge and Twiggy Daisy Bush.  The Conservation Park has an active Friends of Marino Group and welcomes new members.

The Marino Rocks Lighthouse was built in 1962.  It is an operational lighthouse situated within the Marino Conservation Park.

MARINO COMMUNITY GARDEN

The community garden is a space for local residents to grow their own food, meet like minded people and learn new skills.  It is located on Newland Reserve, Newland Avenue.

Bush for Life is a volunteer project of Trees for Life.  There are two bushcare sites in our area, the Kingston Park Cliff Face Reserve and Marine Parade Reserve.

tjilbruke springs and Kingston foreshore

Tjilbruke, keeper of fire, creator of water is the creation ancestor of the Kaurna nation of the Adelaide plains.  The Tjilbruke springs are seen within the Kingston Park foreshore area. The story is celebrated at the adjacent Carter indigenous garden site and at the monument on the cliff top at Kingston Park.

Kingston House
 was built in 1840 and is the oldest building in the Holdfast Bay Council area.  It is a popular functions venue for weddings and private ceremonies.  Every Sunday afternoon from March to November Devonshire Teas are served.  The Friends of Kingston House welcome new members.

MARINO community HALL

Marino Community Hall on Newland Avenue is available for hire and has a large hall suitable for sitting 100 and a smaller hall which sits 30.

KAURI PARADE SPORTING COMPLEX


This sporting and function facility has courts built for junior and senior hockey, netball and tennis. A large function room with a bar facility and stunning views , plus smaller meeting room are available for hire.   For more information visit the City of Holdfast Bay or Seacliff Tennis Club.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH



Neighbourhood Watch works to reduce crime in local areas.  The Marino and Kingston Park is Area 266.  The group meet every three months at Kingston House.

PINE GULLY RESERVE


Friends of the Pine Gully reserve welcome you to participate in their working bees.

PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS


Playgrounds and parks include Kingston House, Kingston Park Foreshore Reserve, Bandon Terrace, Nimboya Road, McConnell Reserve and Newland Avenue where the Marino Community Garden is located.
